Wonderful bathroom remodel! We had the privilege of having Bill MacDonald and his team from RealMarketPrep.com design and remodel our upstairs bath. We changed it from a tub/shower combination to a doorless, walk-in shower and freestanding soaking tub. The result is all we could dream of: lovely, functional, perfectly designed and finished with an eye to artistry and detail. The team that we worked with was talented, knowledgeable, had depth of experience and was easy to work with. They asked questions to truly understand our design. Their craftsmanship was impeccable and they kept the work area neat and clean. Bill’s team created an extra storage area by building a lovely linen shelf in what was previously unusable space. The carpentry, tile and paint are finished to perfection. Thank you so much to Bill and the team for a wonderful experience!

Bill was amazing helping us decide what work needed to be done and then managing the completion while we were getting ready to sell our house. He did everything and was more than reasonable in pricing. We would not have sold our house as quickly nor received the same pricing without him.

I can’t say enough about the great job Bill did getting our home ready to put on the market. We bought a house in Kansas City and needed to sell our Seattle home. We needed to get the old house ready to sell. Diana introduced us to Bill and he took care of everything at a very reasonable price. He has subcontractors that he has worked with for years who do great work at a reasonable price. He took care of having the hardwood floors refinished, painting touched-up, new carpet installed, etc. Our house sold in 5 days for approximately 10% over asking price. We are thrilled!
When faced with selling my
When faced with selling my family home of 14 years, the number of odds and ends that needed fixing was a bit overwhelming. Bill and I together inventoried the variety of items that required mending before a sell could go thru. Bill then helped prioritize which ones should be fixed before listing vrs. prior to sale closing.
Bill was able to provide practical solutions and reasonable prices. He could draw upon a network of vendors and resources that fixed the problems quickly and in a quality manner.
As fate would have it, the fan on the furnace decided to call it quits a couple weeks before the close of the sale of the house. Bill worked tirelessly to find a resource and made himself available to be at the home when the repair was made and ensured that everything was in working order.
I would highly recommend Bill and I’m no doubt his costs were more than covered by a higher sales price! A win win for all.

I had the good fortune to work with Bill to sell my house which closed in January of 2023. I was relocating for work across the country and was facing a cooling housing market (rising interest rates; tech employers signaling downsizing).
During the almost two decades that I resided at the property, I found myself busy with my career and family (wife, four kids, a series of golden retrievers) and must confess that I didn’t keep the property in a “ready for sale” state throughout that time. The expectations of buyers in our neighborhood are that properties be well-maintained and in a “move-in” ready condition.
Bill was absolutely instrumental in helping us achieve this state and we were able to receive an offer at asking price (major accomplishment in this economic environment) and close in three weeks (no major inspection items). We would have never been able to accomplish this if we hadn’t been working with Bill months in advance before we listed our property.
First, from his deep real estate background, he has a strong understanding of the unique buyer expectations in each of the Seattle area markets (each neighborhood is different).
Second, he has an acute appreciation of which work to prioritize so that spending to bring a property up to “ready for sale” condition achieves the most impact for the dollars invested.
Third, from Bill’s experience as a general contractor, he seems to know everyone and who really delivers value. A couple years before, we had bid out the work of refreshing our deck and ended up postponing it because we felt that we kept receiving bids with an “affluent neighborhood premium” built-in. We were very happy with the work that Bill was able to arrange at a fraction of the bids that we had previously collected ourselves.
Fourth, Bill was really good at working with our available budget by providing what proved to be very accurate estimates for the work that we agreed upon. I think that’s a function of experience, really understanding the work that will be done, and actively managing the projects.
